The Winnipeg Football Club will report an operating profit of $5.7 million in 2023

The Winnipeg Soccer Club announced Thursday an annual operating profit of $5.7 million through the 2023 season.

Wade Miller, the club's president and CEO, credited the Blue Bombers' loyal supporters for the financial success, with total revenue of $50.5 million, an 11.2% increase over last year. Gate receipts totaled $15.1 million, while game-day, merchandise and concessions totaled $11.5 million.

The club allocated $6 million to the capital fund and operating reserve, ending the year with balances of $9.6 million and $6.6 million, respectively. However, an impairment loss of $1.25 million was recorded on accounts receivable from Valor FC Inc.

Miller highlighted the club's commitment to improving the stadium with funds earmarked for stadium resurfacing by the 2024 season.

“Winnipeg Soccer Club has a history of success,” Miller said. “From our fans to our corporate partners, our stakeholders continue to play a vital role in our club's success both on and off the pitch.”
