Porter begins flights between Montreal and Vancouver

Porter Airlines launched its new service on Thursday (April 11). Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Montreal Trudeau International Airport (YUL). The route marks Porter's first route from Montreal to Western Canada.

All passengers will experience true Porter hospitality and superior onboard service, including complimentary Wi-Fi, premium cuisine, and complimentary beer and wine by the glass.

Priority check-in, extra legroom, premium pre-mixed cocktails and fresh, wholesome food are available with all-inclusive PorterReserve fares or a la carte purchased with PorterClassic fares.

The new route will begin with a daily one-way flight operated by Porter's 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The two-by-two configuration means there are no middle seats on any Porter flight.

Scheduled service offers a variety of connections to Eastern Canada via YUL, including Halifax, Toronto-Pearson and Toronto City, Complementing daily non-stop service between Toronto-Pearson and Ottawa until Vancouver.

Porter's codeshare partnership Air Transat provides convenient connections from YUL throughout Europe to destinations such as Paris and London.

Service from Montreal Edmonton and Calgary starting later this spring. With the launch of three new westbound routes, Porter now operates eight nonstop routes from Montreal.
