Officer charged in Toronto man sexual assault case: TPS

An Ontario Police College officer has been charged with multiple counts of posing as a Toronto police officer on social media, luring minors to bars, plying them with alcohol and sexually assaulting his victims.

Authorities say between March 10, 2024 and March 31, 2024, the accused used online applications, including OME TV, Snapchat and other social media platforms, to communicate with minors.

Allegedly, the man would meet the victim in person and pose as a police officer to gain their trust before taking them to local bars knowing they were not of legal drinking age.

Investigators say the accused then bought the victims alcoholic drinks and sexually assaulted them. A minor child was also taken down without knowing it.
