Atlas of Toronto | UrbanToronto

One of the former landmarks of Toronto's Port Lands will remain the landmark of the new park closest to the city center – the 300-tonne Atlas crane, built in 1961, will rise around it. In this photo from the west side of the new Cherry Street Bridge by the UrbanToronto Forum, an Atlas crane forms its local skyline in front of Toronto's most iconic landmark, like a sentinel left to guard the area.
