A man is stabbed near Jane and Weston, a suspect

A man was seriously injured in a stabbing on Toronto's west side early Monday morning.

The incident happened near Jane Street and Weston Road.

Toronto police said they were called to the area around 12:15 a.m

At the scene of the incident, police officers identified a 30-year-old man with stab wounds.

Emergency personnel took the victim to the hospital by ambulance.

His injuries are serious but not life-threatening, police said.

The suspect is special. Police have not released a description of the man.

The investigation is ongoing.
