5 Ways to Watch Monday's Solar Eclipse Online | News

Did you miss or want to see the solar eclipse that swept across North America on Monday, April 8?

Web sites that record live broadcasts have five suggestions on how to watch them online.

They range from an hour to several hours, some only show the eclipse, and some provide commentary. Remember that you can rotate the pieces if you want.

NASA

Go to their eclipse page, which is here and click on the “watch live” link, which is also available on YouTube. It will arrive in more than three hours.

TIMEANDDATE

Go to their eclipse page, which is here , and click on their live broadcast, which was recorded over four hours ago, which is also available on YouTube.

U of T DUNLAP Observatory

Go to their eclipse page, it's here , and it has a link to two hours of YouTube coverage (there's more commentary than watching the eclipse, but you can cut to any part you like). Just after the 90 minute mark there is a really nice view from Queen's University.

NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION

Go to their eclipse page, which is here , and click on their hour-long link, which is also available on YouTube. There are many interpretations, but during totality the eclipse and the stars are spectacular.

SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN
