“You just have to look carefully,” Haynes said. “You find opportunities around you to live your best life.”

“And fulfill the purpose for which you were created”

Last summer, Haynes couldn't find a bag that suited him.

That's when she remembered her talent as a little girl: knitting.

An entrepreneur took his talent and turned it into a business.

Haynes likes to work with holiday colors.

However, each bag can be customized.

Haynes immigrated to Canada from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2002.

He taught entrepreneurship at a high school in Montreal, which sparked his interest in starting his own projects: like writing a book to make music.

Music became part of her healing journey in 2011 when she was diagnosed with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder after being abused by her mother and ex-husband.

“It's not too late,” Haynes said. “Find your passion.”

“Look inside,” he added. “What do you pour?”

Hein's entrepreneurial ventures fuel him.

His goal: to return to Montreal and develop his projects after retiring from his 9-5 job with the Ontario government.

Not being able to read French prompted her to move in 2021 – after 19 years in the city she called home.

“I came here as an immigrant,” Haynes said. “I started from scratch.”

“I hit rock bottom, and I got up,” he added. “I've been through the trenches.”

“Here, I also have the opportunity to start a business.”
