Nova Scotians can now play in the Toronto Blue Jays 50-50 lottery

Nova Scotians can now purchase 50/50 tickets online for Toronto Blue Jays baseball games – all in support of children's and youth sports.

The Nova Scotia government announced Monday it has partnered with the Jaycees Care Foundation and the province of Ontario on the initiative.

Jays Care 50/50 tickets can be purchased online in Nova Scotia this spring, marking the first time Canadians outside of Ontario have been able to participate.

Last year, the Jays Care 50/50 jackpot was nearly $16 million. Last season, one jackpot reached $5.9 million.

“The Jays Care Foundation does great work to support facilities and programs where young people can play, and this partnership will allow more children from across Nova Scotia to benefit,” said Colton LeBlanc, Minister of Services Nova Scotia.

More than 2,400 children and youth in Nova Scotia participated in the Jays Care program in 2023, according to the province.

Jays Care also invested $685,000 to build and renovate baseball diamonds in six Nova Scotia communities.
