Stoney Creek murder: New details on son, suspect

Hamilton police have released new information about a 22-year-old son wanted in connection with his father's murder Saturday night.

In Monday's updateinvestigators said the suspect was last seen driving a blue 2022 Ford Edge with a Quebec license plate: FSC 7432. He was last seen driving north on Trafalgar toward Mudd Street in Stony Creek, Ont.

The vehicle is a company rental vehicle and may have a sticker or license plate cover indicating it, police added.

Police were first called to a house near the corner of Trafalgar and Clay Streets at 7.40pm on Saturday after reports of a 56-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators soon revealed that the suspect, Suhraj Cheema-Singh, was the victim's son. Police identified the father as Kuldeep Singh.

Her son is wanted for first degree murder. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
