Seven people were displaced after a house fire in Etobicoke Tuesday afternoon, according to Toronto Fire.

Emergency crews responded to an active house fire at 75 Silverstone in the area of ​​Kipling and Finch avenues at approximately 4:40 p.m.

Toronto Fire said there was “heavy smoke” when crews arrived.

Firefighters said they searched the home and “thankfully” there were no injuries.

Although the fire was extinguished, seven people were left homeless due to the fire.

Toronto Fire said the fire is now under investigation and crews are on scene building a firewall.

The cause and origin of the fire is unknown, and it is not known whether the smoke alarm was working in the house at the time.
