Future football players will show their skills in Montreal

“It's an opportunity to be seen,” Montreal high school football player Mahe-lee Caron said of the FMSpro showcase, which attracts 400 football players looking to be recruited by Canadian and American universities and prep schools.

Canada's biggest showcase of future soccer players took place in Montreal over the weekend.

About 400 soccer players will participate in the FMSpro exhibition, mainly from Quebec, but also from British Columbia, New Brunswick and Ontario.

Athletes from Canadian universities, American NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3 universities, as well as prep schools and professional teams, showed off their skills in hopes of being hired by at least one of the more than 150 coaches.

FMSpro founder Noah Eisenberg said, “I think we always do a really good job of bringing in an amazing roster of coaches. “And we want to help these amazing Canadian kids and give them as much exposure and opportunity as possible at the next level.”

“Now I'm in the US at Northfield Mount Herman at NMH,” said Montreal High School football player Mahe-lee Caron. “So this is a prep school. So I came again to go to university because Noah helped me very well. And he was great to work with. I think it's huge for all the Montrealers here because it's an opportunity to be seen from the US. It's not really, it seems like it's really hard to look without it.”

“We're looking for players here, we come here as a school trying to scout players, try to recruit players, and we also bring our current players here to go to US colleges because they have really big and very important colleges and universities here. from the USA,” added Eduardo Caturla, technical director of football at Vermont Academy Prep.
