One was taken to EMS after a building fire in Toronto

Crews responded to a building fire in downtown Toronto Sunday afternoon, sending one to emergency medical services.

Police say the fire, in the area of ​​Sherborne Street and Shooter Street, was fully contained at 5:41 p.m. when the 12th-floor Toronto fire department arrived, and one person was sheltering on a balcony with unknown injuries.

The fire has since been extinguished.

Police say they expect delays in the area.
