Manitoba RCMP release details on 5 suspicious deaths

The mountains are expected to provide information on investigations into five suspicious deaths at three different locations in southern Manitoba.

The Highlands are expected to release details on five suspicious deaths in southern Manitoba.

Insp. RCMP Major Crime Services Officer Tim Arsenault will speak at a news conference Sunday at RCMP headquarters in Winnipeg to provide information about the deaths, the Mounties said in a Sunday news release.

CBC will broadcast the conference live here at 4pm CT. RCMP said it could start 20 minutes later than planned.

RCMP said the fatality occurred at three different locations – on Highway 3 between Carman and Winkler, on Highway 428 north of Provincial Road 424 and at a home in Carman.

One suspect is in police custody, Mounties said. There is no threat to public safety.
