Although Markstrom holds the cards with his no-movement clause, he knows it's not up to him to trade. He told Francis it was up to Flames management and what they thought was best for the team.

The Flames have yet to tell Markstrom about waiving his no-movement clause. General manager Craig Conroy isn't actively shopping him, but if a team like the Devils has assets the Flames could use to retool quickly, he'd be open to it.

The Flames are moving right now, which could change the way the Flame approaches the deadline.
