RCMP investigating 5 suspicious deaths in southern Manitoba – Winnipeg Free Press

RCMP have arrested a suspect after five people were killed under suspicious circumstances in southern Manitoba.

The Mounties announced the arrests Sunday afternoon and said the public was not in danger.

Investigators found the bodies in three separate locations, including a home in Carman; near Highway 3 between Carman and Winkler; and near Highway 248.

Details on the identity of the suspect, the nature and time of the incident and possible charges are not yet available.

Insp. Taim Arseneau, who leads the province's major crimes unit, is holding a news conference at 4 p.m. at the RCMP's D-Division headquarters in Winnipeg to provide more information.

Police noted that the information may cause public concern.
