The Montreal Metropolitan Police Service (SPVM) is investigating gunshots heard by residents of the Cote-de-Neige-Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighborhood overnight.

A 911 call was made around 2 a.m. Sunday to report multiple shots fired on Trans Island Avenue near Queen Mary Road.

Upon arrival, police found at least one shell casing on the ground.

An investigation is underway to find surveillance cameras that may shed some light on the incident. So far, no injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made, said Agent Jeanne Drouin, SPVM spokeswoman.
