A man was seriously injured in a crash in northwest Toronto

Toronto paramedics say one person was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries after a collision in the city's northwest.

It happened Sunday morning near Dixon Road and Carlingview Drive.

In a social media post, police said the driver was unconscious after the crash and his cellphone's crash detection technology called emergency responders.

His injuries are believed to be serious, but he was taken to hospital in a stable condition, paramedics confirmed.
