More information is being released following a fire that destroyed or damaged two mobile homes and nine vehicles in the Montreal area this week.

The Osage Beach Fire District reports the first call just after 1 p.m. Thursday reported a vehicle on fire near a structure in the area of ​​A-Road and Hornet Lane.

Upon arrival at the scene, the fire was threatening two mobile homes, several other vehicles and other structures in the area as far as nearby brush. We also had to transport water from a nearby enterprise.

Residents of one mobile home escaped, civilians and firefighters were not injured. Mid-County, Lake of the Ozarks and Sunrise Beach assisted at the scene, while Rocky Mountain provided Osage Beach coverage.

Firefighters spent three and a half hours at the scene, and the cause of the fire is being determined.
