Montreal Canadiens forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury.

A hard hit has left one of the Montreal Canadiens' depth forwards hurt on the ice again.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard left Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars with a lower-body injury.

The incident happened early in the second period, when Harvey-Pinard was trying to clear the puck in the neutral zone and ran into teammate Joel Armia. The army fell on the 25-year-old.

Harvey-Pinard was helped off the ice by Habs trainers. He is expected to be re-evaluated in the next two days to determine the extent of his injuries.

It's been a rough season for the fourth-year pro. On November 2, Harvey-Pinard left the game against the Arizona Coyotes early with a lower-body injury. He missed three games, but in his third game, the Saguenay, Quebec native was injured again and eventually was placed on injured reserve, missing 24 games.

He returned to the line on January 11. In 10 games since, Harvey-Pinard has one and two assists. In 23 games, the 2019 seventh-rounder has just one goal and six assists.

Harvey-Pinard has suffered multiple lower-body injuries over the past few seasons, including last April.

In 61 games in his NHL career, he scored 16 goals and had 12 assists.

The former Ruin-Noranda Husky is in the first of a two-year contract he signed with the Habs this past season with a $1.1 million AAV.

The Canadiens (21-22-8) are scheduled to host the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. They are in sixth place in the Atlantic Division, 10 points behind the Detroit Red Wings, who hold the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
