The Humane Society is launching a new program to help seniors keep pets

Keeping seniors and their pets together is the focus of a new program at the Calgary Humane Society.

The Best Partnership program helps seniors with dental procedures, vaccines and emergency medical care.

Also helps with food, bedding, litter and supplies.

Also, adoption fees are available for owners 65 and over.

The program fights loneliness among the elderly and saves animals from shelters.

The program also helps seniors with end-of-life care such as pet euthanasia and cremation.
