Alberta NDP leadership: Sarah Hoffman is running

Alberta's former deputy premier is vying for the leadership of the official opposition.

Sarah Hoffman, MLA for Edmonton-Glenora since 2015, will launch her campaign to replace Rachel Notley as Alberta NDP leader on Sunday morning.

Hoffman, a former health minister, is making the announcement at the Woodcroft Community League in Edmonton.

She is the third politician to announce her intention to run, joining former Alberta justice minister Kathleen Ganley and Edmonton MP. Rakhi Pancholi.
