3 men attacked with knives in Winnipeg overnight

Three men are in stable condition after separate knife attacks in Winnipeg Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The first attack happened around 8:40 p.m. Friday near Donald Street and Portage Avenue, police said in a news release Saturday. A man in his 40s was taken to hospital in a critical condition but was later listed in stable condition.

Officers were later called to another stabbing in the 800 block of Main Street between Sutherland and Flora avenues around 1:50 a.m. Saturday. They found a 20-year-old man with multiple injuries who was treated by emergency medical personnel before being taken to hospital in an unstable condition.

Around 4 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to the area of ​​Church Avenue and Main Street for another report of a stabbing, the report said. They found the victim, a man in his 30s, who was treated and taken to hospital.

Police say the attacks are not related at this time.

No arrests have been made in connection with any of the stabbings. All three are being investigated by the Major Crimes Unit.
