Two teenagers, ages 14 and 15, have been charged in connection with a stabbing at the Whitby GO station.

Durham Regional Police later charged two boys, aged 14 and 15 Young man robbed and stabbed at Whitby GO station Monday night.

Officers were called to the station located at 1350 South Brock Street on February 5, 2024 at approximately 8:25 p.m.

Investigators say the victim met the two suspects in a GO station parking lot. A struggle ensued and police say the victim was stabbed.

The suspects fled the scene.

“The victim was located by police nearby and transported to a Toronto-area trauma center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a statement. “The suspects were located by police officers a short distance away and taken into custody without incident.”

Police said the victim and suspects knew each other and called it an “isolated incident” of no public safety concern.

Two teenagers from Whitby have been remanded in custody for a bail hearing on suspicion of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

They are also charged with non-compliance.
