Three QMJHL players aim to continue the recent trend of success

Yes, seriously. A prospect from Beaconsfield, Quebec will be playing in the QMJHL this season under the name Bobby Orr. He may not be comparable to the legendary Boston Bruins quarterback, but he has plenty of skill.

Orr was already drafted as Carolina Uran selected him in the 5th round of the 2021 NHL Draft after a strong rookie season with the Halifax Mooseheads. However, they chose not to sign him last summer and forfeited his rights, so he is technically an unrestricted free agent as far as NHL rights are concerned.

Since then, he has been on the offensive with his new team this season. With the Acadie-Bathurst Titan ready to rebuild, Orr has been the go-to guy for them offensively and now has 18 goals and 63 points in 48 games. It's a big step forward after scoring 41 points in 65 games last season, which could be described as a disappointing year for the young player.

Orr is a good-sized winger at six feet tall and has a knack for going with a big downside to his game. His scoring output this season suggests that he is ready for a depth role at the AHL level next season and could be an impact player for the Laval Rockets while adding some depth to the organization at a young age.

With a name like Bobby Orr, you can't ignore this player.
