Winnipeg police are investigating a suspicious death at a residence

Winnipeg police say they are investigating a homicide that happened early Wednesday morning.

According to WPS, at 6:20 a.m., officers responded to an apartment on Assiniboine Avenue following a report of a suspicious death of a man.

Winnipeg Fire and Paramedics (WFPS) responded to the scene and found the man dead in the hallway of the apartment.

The man has since been identified as 19-year-old River Harper.
