A new nature reserve was proposed to Transcona

Transcona could be home to a new nature reserve.

A report before the city's executive policy committee recommends turning 25 acres south of Gunn Road and Redonda Street into Mother Earth Nature Park.

The park will have trails and many new trees and different species.

It also offers a competition for elementary school students to design a logo for the park.

However, the report recommends drawing up a development plan before taking further action.
