Wildfire destroys mobile home and cars near Montreal – News/ KRMS Talk

Two mobile homes and about nine vehicles were destroyed or damaged after a residential and brush fire on A-Road in the Montreal area.

Firefighters from Osage Beach, Mid-County, Sunrise Beach and Lake Ozark responded to the scene on Hornet Lane, off Thousand Acres Road, around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon while Rocky Mountain was moved to shut down Osage Beach.

The buildings appeared to be fully involved in the spread of the flames into the nearby forest area, but other structures fell short.

Residents of the home for the initial call told KRMS News that everyone and any pets were able to escape safely.

The cause of the fire was not disclosed.
