Next month, two Winnipeg dogs will join the CFL

Two members of the Saskatchewan Huskies football team are among 71 prospects invited to attend the 2024 CFL combine.

They are offensive lineman John Curtis and defensive lineman George Idoko. 60 of Canada's top players, along with 11 global prospects, have accepted an invitation to be in Winnipeg from March 19-24. Below is the CFL news release….

TORONTO (February 8, 2024) – More than 140 draft-eligible prospects are slated to showcase their skills to the league's general managers, coaches and players ahead of the April 30 Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft and CFL Global Draft.

University of Waterloo's Feridoon Hamdullapur Fieldhouse will be home to the CFL Invitational Combine on March 8. Top prospects identified at the event will join the 2024 top class for the CFL Combine at the Winnipeg Football Federation's Indoor North. The new era is from March 19-24.

Media representatives planning to attend any event should apply for accreditation here. The media block at The Fort Garry Hotel is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
