Bereaved parents offered to meet with Quebec's transport minister for $100

The Coalition Avenir Quebec (CAQ) has come under fire again for its fundraising methods.

The party offered $100 entry to bereaved parents to Transport Minister Genevieve Guilbeau.

That's what Antoine Bittar and Elizabeth Rivera said in a parliamentary committee Thursday afternoon.

In an interview afterward, Bittar, who has been in touch with NSC Marilyn Pickard for months to push for tougher drink-driving laws, was offered the chance to meet the minister at a party event in October by signing up on Facebook and paying $100. .

He said that he was not a member of any party and said that he did this for my daughter, because he did not want the matter to go forward, there was no way.

They were given four minutes with the minister and two minutes per person.
