TORONTO – Kamloops' NBA star looks set to return north of the border before Thursday's (Feb. 8) trade deadline.

The Toronto Raptors will acquire Kamloops' Kelly Olynyk from the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN's senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday. The full trade sends 6'11″ center and guard Ochai Agbaji to the Raptors in exchange for point guard Kyra Lewis Jr., junior forward Otto Porter and a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

32-year-old Olynyk is 11 years oldth NBA season. The Raptors will be his sixth NBA team, having played in Boston, Miami, Houston, Detroit and Utah.

Olynyk averaged 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in just over 20 minutes per game with the Jazz during the 2023-24 NBA season. He was also a member of Canada's bronze medalist team at the 2023 FIBA ​​World Championship.
