Toronto's New Aussie Bar Is So Chic And It'll Take You To Long Vacation Country (VIDEO)

A new Australian-inspired bar has opened in Toronto, and it's bringing the long weekend to the heart of 6ix.

Electric Bill is a small, trendy bar full of personality, located on Bloor West near Ossington. Its menu is filled with a variety of cocktails and rich Australian cuisine that changes every season.

Electric Bill is Toronto's newest Aussie-inspired restaurant, and you'll be saying “G'day mate” any day of the week! ⚡️##electric##australianrestaurant##australiantoronto##australia🇦🇺##torontolife##torontotiktok##torontofood##torontobar##newtontobar

The new bar is a collaboration between Australian bartender Casey Ryan and the team behind one of Toronto's most iconic bars, Civil Liberties. In fact, they're so close that you can bar hop any day of the week and get thirst-quenching cocktails at both.

But at Electric Bill, you can get a cocktail with Australian-inspired dishes on the side that are too good to pass up.

“I love living in Toronto, but I often miss the Australian bar scene. I wanted to bring the fun, fun vibe of the bar to this amazing city and provide a place where Torontonians could experience authentic Australian culture. Give Australians in Toronto a home away from home,” Ryan said in a press release.

From the moment you enter the bar, you're instantly transported to a world where the Australian spirit is so infectious, you'll be saying “G'day mate” on your way out.

Electric Bill ditched the QR code menus and came up with something even more creative – what they've turned into a cocktail menu, sprinkled with Aussie lingo and definitions for the uninitiated.

It's fun flipping through it and feeling like you're in elementary school again, except now you're old enough to order a cocktail from it, but it has soft drinks that taste like it. Good.

“Our menu is based on flavor and ingredients – we change our offerings seasonally to match fresh fruit juices and local produce for our cocktails, like apples for our whiskey apple,” shares Ryan. “Our goal is to transport and captivate the taste buds with a sense of our environmental impact.”

But you can't go to Electric Bill without ordering a few dishes. From beef sausage rolls to Australian hand pies and chicken parm lollipops, the snacks are more detailed and delicious than you might expect from a glance at the menu.

Also, their homemade tomato sauce is so delicious, I want to take home a bottle of it and dip it all in.

So, if you want to escape Canada and go somewhere where the vibe is even more friendly and welcoming, visit Electric Bill.
