Police investigated the discovery of the bodies of two men in an apartment north of Montreal

LAVAL, Que. — Police in Laval, north of Montreal, are investigating after the bodies of two men were found inside an apartment Wednesday morning.

Sources said the death is being ruled a suicide.

A 43-year-old man and a 70-year-old man died.

Laval police were called just after 10 a.m. to an apartment building in the Laval-des-Rapides district following a call from Montreal police requesting a well-being check.

Const. Stephanie Beshara said police found two bodies inside, both unresponsive.

Investigators were dispatched to the scene, and there was a heavy police presence in the area.
