Tate McRae has been nominated for 3 Juno Awards

The Juno Award nominees were announced Tuesday, and Calgary's own pop star Tate McRae has earned several nominations.

The singer-songwriter was nominated in three nominations: Single of the Year, Artist of the Year and Fan Choice.

The former Calgary Feist, who are in town this week, are nominated for Adult Alternative Album of the Year. The majorityand Nickelback received a nomination for Group of the Year.

Brett Kissel was nominated for Country Album of the Year Compass project – SouthCalgary hip-hop act Smalltown DJs took home the underground dance single of the year. Concord Groove.

Calgary jazz singer Katie Gyorgy is nominated for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year You are the same, both of you.

The Junos will be presented in a televised ceremony in Halifax on March 24. Hosted by Nelly Furtado.
